Moonwalkr 2.0 Cricket Batting Pads

The Moonwalkr 2.0 Cricket Batting Pads are genuinely different from every other pad on the CreePlay website, and that is the reason we carry them.

• Padding: Moonwalkr is an Indian startup that looked at traditional batting pads and asked a straightforward question: why are cricketers still wearing protection built on a design that has barely changed in decades, when better materials exist? This composite achieves less than half the weight and thickness of a traditional pad while offering protection rated up to 160 kmph ball impact. The 3D moulded design shapes the pad to the leg rather than expecting the leg to fit the pad, which is a meaningful difference in both comfort and protection quality.
• The answer is the 2.0, which uses a ballistic-proof composite material instead of conventional cane-and-foam construction.
• The result is a pair of pads that fits closer to the leg, moves more naturally when you run, and removes the restriction that heavy traditional pads create when you are trying to steal a quick single or drive on the front foot.
• The strap material is softer than traditional webbing, and the overall silhouette is considerably slimmer than what most cricketers are used to, which takes a net session or two to adjust to but then becomes something players do not want to go back from.
• Why we stock it: At CreePlay, we recommend the Moonwalkr 2.0 for any batter who runs aggressively between the wickets, plays a lot of front-foot cricket, or has simply been frustrated by the bulk and weight of conventional pads.
• Options: Available in white, navy blue, and black.
