SS Test Opener Batting Pads

The SS Test Opener Batting Pads are a serious pair of leg guards built to the specification that professional-level and high-standard club cricket demands.

• The pad uses a 7-cane construction with a unique hinged side wing design that gives you better freedom of movement compared to traditional fixed-wing pads.
• Who it suits: For batters who rely on quick footwork, the hinged wing means the pad flexes with your leg rather than resisting it, which makes a real difference over a long innings or when you need to move fast into a position to play an attacking stroke.
• A padded knee roll provides the structured protection your knee needs against good-length deliveries, and the padded mesh with velcro straps gives a secure, easily adjusted fit.
• Thicker bottom straps allow you to tie the pad tighter at the ankle, which keeps it stable during aggressive foot movement at the crease.
• Worth knowing: The Test Opener is designed with international cricketer input for professional-level play, and that shows in the construction.
• Options: Available in white, blue, and black.

At CreePlay, we carry the Test Opener for experienced batters who understand what a match-quality pad should feel like and are not prepared to compromise on that.
